Baking in Troubled Times

I'm ever so sorry that I haven't blogged in a while. With Duncan working from home now for a while, I've not been able to use the office. However the way mobile phones are created now it seems I can blog through the Wix App. I will be doing so now and again as I'll need to do something whilst I'm staying at home as per the NHS guidelines for me.
I haven't baked much recently but I have been cooking nearly every day. I enjoy it immensely. Knowing now that we are social distancing and self-isolating (and if you are not, I strongly advise you to for your own sakes and for the sake of the many doctors and nurses who work for the NHS both in the public and private sectors), I encourage you all to be creative in your cooking and baking utilising every single ingredient you have in your home.
At times like this I remember when there was rationing (from history that is- I'm only 31!) and how every ingredient was utilized for recipes.
Let's stop over buying things and let's appreciate everything we have already and let those who need it most get access to the things they need without being pushed or shoved or disrespected by people who are capable.
Passing by the local Co-Op today I noticed how scarce the shelves were, how there wasn't any fruit or veg or meat or toilet roll.
A final note to say please be careful and to not go out unless it's for an emergency such as visiting a pharmacy or going out for 5 minutes in the garden etc.
Take care of yourselves
Lily
