Carol Services

Hi everyone,
At this time of year there is nothing more I like than attending a carol service particularly if it's a 'Carols by Candlelight' carol service. Hearing the story of Jesus' birth told plus singing traditional carols that celebrate this amazing moment in history warms my heart.
There are a couple of churches in London that I try and see each Christmas. It isn't possible this Christmas as we are super busy but if you'd like to go along and see them please do.
St Helen's Bishopsgate:
Before moving to where we are now, we used to attend St Helen's. We try to visit as often as we can as we still have a lot of close friends there. At Christmas time, St Helen's not only have traditional carol services, they also have carol services suited to children, mandarin speakers and those who attend their city lunchtime talks. One of my favourite carol services that St Helen's do every year is their all age carols. It's a chance for children to see what the true meaning of Christmas is and to sing favourites such as the Calypso Carol and more. This year the all age carols is happening on Sunday 22nd December at 4pm.

Carols from King's College, Cambridge:
Now with Carols from King's College, you don't need to leave your house. It is broadcasted by the BBC on Christmas Eve. So don your best Christmas outfit or Christmas Pyjamas and snuggle up on the sofa singing along as you go. It is such an uplifting service that you can't help but feel joyous on the inside. It is one of the highlights of Christmas for me.
Romford Evangelical Free Church:
We've been apart of Romford Evan (as it's well known as) for almost 5 years now and we have felt nothing but joy, love, care and more. Our Carols by Candlelight service is happening this Sunday 22nd December at 6:30pm. I am leading the carols with a lovely friend of mine and my husband is playing the tuba alongside our trumpeter. It is so lovely when we can be involved as particularly at Christmas time we hope and pray that people will come to know Jesus.

All Souls, Langham Place:
All Souls is a wonderful church nestled in the heart of Central London. Very close to Oxford St and Regent St it often has tourists walking by daily. All Souls have multiple carol services coming up often 3 in one Sunday. An hour long you can sing your favourite Christmas Carols, hear some festive readings and a short talk on the nativity with a heart-warming Christmas punch and mince pies to enjoy afterwards.
These are just a select few churches where Carol Services are taking place this Christmas. Do you attend a carol service? if yes where?
Whatever you decide to do this Christmas we wish you all a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year.
Lily xxxx
