Hi everyone,

Me again! So yesterday I had the pleasure of having dinner at the Premier Inn in Romford Town Centre (near the famous market). Not only were my allergy needs catered for, there was quite a few dishes I could chose from- I even had pudding! (Which is a rarity given my allergies). I wanted some comfort food, given that this week has been a bit of a challenge, I won't lie I did have a pizza and boy it was amazing! And my pudding was a decadent slice of Lemon Tart which I thoroughly enjoyed!

After which I went upstairs to my room, grabbed my laptop and came back downstairs so I could do some admin for the blog (making sure everything you read is up to a high standard- I'm a bit of a perfectionist as it were). I happened to sit in an area where the brilliant guys at RDF (Right Development Foundation) were working and politely asked them if they minded if I did some work on my blog. They were fine with that. A polite conversation turned into a networking conversation.

So RDF is a company that strives to help young people in East London not only reach their potential but help them on their journeys as they grow up in a world where there is constant peer pressure, financial struggles and not enough places for them to go and freely express themselves. They do this by having activities on the go, workshops and much more. What's more is that they created this company based on the experiences they had growing up as a young people in East London.

It was an absolute pleasure speaking with them. We've agreed to keep in touch and will network more in the near future. I think what they do is just absolutely wonderful. We need more of this across London and in the UK. But hey one baby step at a time..

We ended up talking for hours, until at 11:45pm I was just so tired, I needed to sleep. That's what happens when you network with people that have the same attitudes to life as well as taking that leap of faith to make the difference needed to support our future generations out there- you end up talking for so long that you feel like you've known them for a long time.

RDF are worth taking a look at, and if you know someone or groups of young people who would be interested to get involved then do contact them because they love hearing the journeys of others and how they can help out with the path and maps that both we (they) choose and the one(s) that God has planned for us.

Jeremiah 29:11

'For I know of the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.'

All in all, it's been a great staycation as it were whilst staying here at the Premier Inn in the centre of Romford. I feel that God placed me here for a reason and I don't doubt his plan for one second.

Have a wonderful weekend,

Love,

Lily

Ps. Our leftovers month is almost over and next week I have roughly about 4-5 recipes that use up the mixture of things that are left in your fridge, freezer and larder at the end of each month. Keep your eyes pealed for that.
