Favourite Coffee Shop

Hi everyone,
So we are still in Olympic fever! The medals keep coming and the totals for each country are increasing day by day. But this morning once I'd had a rest. my husband comes into our bedroom saying he's going to head to the office in London for the afternoon as our neighbour is singing. Little fact about our neighbour- he sings so loudly that the entire block of flats can hear him (there's only 9 flats including ours) and he thinks he's the next Frank Sinatra! We reckon he sings over music playing hence the loudness of it. We wouldn't necessarily mind if it was occasionally and for a short time. He does it 3-4 times a week for more than 3 hours! So I've escaped too and headed into Romford to one of my favourite coffee houses.
And boy it is such a better atmosphere! Although it's the summer holidays and children with their parents may come in here at some point I don't mind- anything is better than the singing neighbour.
When in Romford, I come to the Costa on South Street. The staff are very welcoming and kind. Costa is great from an allergies front as well- they have a 2 stage cleaning process and a very well explained allergy book. This gives me great confidence knowing my food and coffee are in safe hands. A barista maestro prepares everything down to the last T and I've never encountered a problem with Costa overall. I also happen to know the staff here very well and I always get the warmest reception when I come in here.
Many of you know that I can be in a bit of a mood if I don't have a coffee in the morning especially when travelling outside of London/Essex. Just ask my lovely husband and he'll tell you the truth (laughs). Costa's blend of coffee is just the ticket. It is not too strong but equally has enough depth to give you that warming feeling. I usually go for a Caramel Latte (as I can no longer do an espresso or black coffee) so I get a little bit of sweet too (I have an insane sweet tooth) and I go for a Ham & Cheese Toastie with Béchamel sauce. I have it toasted and it is heaven for a sandwich. So delicious and filling as well. I managed to get some of the Béchamel sauce on my t-shirt but not to worry, accidents happen and it's proof I enjoyed it. I'll wash it when I get home (laughs).
Do you have a favourite coffee house? What's your signature drink from a coffee house? Do you have coffee hot or cold or both? Do you have a syrup in your coffee? What do you eat in a coffee house? Do you have a sandwich or a cake or something?
Whatever your favourite coffee house or drink itself, sometimes it's good just to have a change of scenery, a change of pace etc. I hope you have a lovely afternoon!
Love,
Lily xxxx
