Mother's Day

Hi everyone,
So on mother's day this year, we went to visit my mum and whilst we were waiting for my sister to finish work (to go and have dinner) we played a game of 'Beanie'. Beanie (pronounced Benny) is a card game which for my competitive family can be a game of suspension, reading poker faces and the odd bit of tutting. My husband was having 40 winks whilst I played with my mum and dad. On this rare occasion, I won the card game (I believe).
My mum loves nothing more than a re-match so once she's back from her long weekend in Ireland, I have a feeling she'll take me to the cleaners (as the phrase goes).
My sister finished work about 5pm so we went to Nando's for dinner. They are great for allergies (which given I have 8 is quite good.) My mum loves Nando's, and she always has her meal with their Mayonnaise. There's also a good atmosphere in Nando's too. Nice music on in the background but most importantly good company and good conversation.
My mum had a lovely day being spoilt and appreciated. Mother's Day I know can be hard for people (including myself) and I will never tell you to get over it or that it will get easier as I'd not only be offending you but lying to you. Everyone is different when it comes to Mother's Day and my heart goes out to all of you out there who long to be mum's, have mum's in heaven, have babies in heaven and more. Know you are never alone.
A week has almost passed now since Mother's Day. If you know someone out there who needs support, please don't forget them, give them a hug, be a listening ear, and more. I know that I really appreciate those who look out for me around this time of year especially my husband. Aside from God, he is my absolute rock.
With love to you all,
Lily xxxx
