Okay so the one thing that people find the most difficult to master is Puddings. This may be lack of patience, low confidence in one's self, or timing. But believe me, once you start making chocolate mousse you'll find the possibilities are endless. So for this quick yet yummy chocolate mousse, you will need to follow the following stages.
Ingredients: (Makes 6)
500g Roughly chopped or broken up chocolate (I used Galaxy)
150g-200g of Cocoa Powder
300ml Double Cream
Chocolate Shavings (to serve)
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cool Time: 15 minutes
Tip:
Use an electric whisk or electric hand whisk to speed up the process.
Method:
1. In a clear bowl add the roughly chopped chocolate and cocoa powder.
2. Add half of the double cream into a pot pan and gently heat it until before boiling point (do watch it carefully as if it curdles the mousse won't be fluffy enough)
3. Once the double cream is heated, add it to the roughly chopped chocolate and cocoa powder and mix with a whisk until combined.
4. Once combined add the remainder of the cream and mix well together until combined.
5. Put the mixture into the fridge for 15-20 minutes to harden up a little.
6. Once chilled, stir again and spoon the mixture into ramekins.
7. Using a grater (used for zesting) grate some chocolate over the top and serve immediately.
