Quiz Night for VICTA!

Hi everyone,

So we took a few days out to spend some time with my mum whilst my dad was in Ireland visiting my granny. And on Thursday 14th March we attended a quiz night to help our dear friend Michele raise money to run the London Marathon in aid of a great charity called VICTA.

Michele has known me since I was a toddler when she and my mum ran the local mum & tots group. We've been firm friends ever since. She has done so much for the families among the community as well as within the church my mum attends- The Church in Bassett St.

Michele is running the London Marathon this year in aid of VICTA. VICTA is a charity that provides support for children & young adults aged 0-29 who are blind or partially sighted and their families. https://www.victa.org.uk/about-victa/

The quiz night had many an element from great food to obscene quiz questions. I was a part of the team called The QC (Queens Crescent) and we came 2nd! We managed to raise over £400 towards Michele's sponsorship goal. A lot of fun was had by all and there were over 70 people taking part!

Michele will be running the London Marathon on Sunday 21st April 2024. We are all rooting for you Michele! Best of luck!
