Hi everyone,

Continuing on with our 'Love' themed blogs in preparation for 'Valentine's Day', I wanted to share with you one half of February's part of the recipe calendar. For Christmas last year (2023) I hand made recipe calendars for the ladies in my bible study group. February is all about pancakes and about valentine's day. Pancake day is almost upon us and I will be sharing our signature pancake recipe and a few unique pancake recipes... A Pancake Day Extravaganza! Watch this space.

But for now, I will share some quotes about love for couples, friends and families. We are a mixed bunch in my bible study group so I wanted to share love but catering for everyone because love isn't just romance etc. It is so much more than that. And in this blog I'm going to share them with you because everyone is worthy of love no matter what.

Love Quotes for Couples:

'Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preserves... And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.' 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8, 13

'Love is like the wind, you can't see it, but you can feel it.' Nicholas Sparks- A Walk to Remember

'Love you yesterday, love you still, always have, always will.' Elaine Davis

Love Quotes for Friends:

'Friendships between women, as any woman will tell you, are built of a thousand small kindnesses.... Swapped back and forth and over again.' Michelle Obama- Becoming

'A friend is one who overlooks your broken fence and admires the flowers in your garden.' Unknown

'A sweet friendship refreshes the soul.' Proverbs 27:9

Love Quotes for Families:

'Families are like branches on a tree. We grow in different directions yet our roots remain as one.' Unknown

'You don't choose your family. They are God's gift to you, as you are to them.' Desmond Tutu

'But Jesus called them to him, saying, "Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these".' Luke 18:16

Do you know someone who needs a little love at the moment? Maybe send a friend some flowers or get together with friends for a meal/cocktails or even just be on the end of the phone. Listening is sometimes all someone needs you to do. Sometimes a hug is worth a thousand words.

Do share love this month because someone, somewhere needs a little love.

Love,

Lily xx
