Hey everyone,

So yesterday we gave you 6 gift ideas for your partner for Valentine's Day. Today we will be focussing on the 1st gift idea. Something homemade that your partner is bound to love!

We also gave you a link to Pinterest's website as it is always full of amazing crafty ideas. I decided to look on Pinterest's to see if I could scope out a few things that could tie into the ideas we already have for homemade presents and not surprisingly we found a lot!

Here is our Valentine's Day Pinterest Board- Do take a look for some extra special ideas!

Just a note to those who are single, widowed or divorced- we don't want you to feel left out so there are also some things you can do either by yourself or with friends on our Pinterest board. Love is for everyone- in small doses or in large ones, everyone still has the right to be loved.

So one thing I always love to do, is write my husband little love notes leading up to valentine's day to remind him of how much I love and adore him. Have you ever done that for someone you love or a friend you care about and want to share God's love with?

This year Clinton's jumped onto this idea pretty quickly making a jar with paper love hearts in to write sweet nothings into. This isn't just for those in a relationship- this is also a perfect idea to tell your friends all the things you love and admire about them, maybe put a few verses in for them, a few quotes and more.

Another thing you can do is buy a small vase (The Range have a good selection that won't cost you an arm and a leg) and put in some foliage (i.e. Cherry Blossom, Roses, Tulips etc.) I brought my vase in Primark (it was on sale) and my Cherry Blossom foliage from The Range.

Are you stressing over what to cook or bake for the occasion? Stop stressing- it doesn't have to be fancy and it is romantic making things together. Why not make a love heart pizza together? Or have chocolate fondue with lots of little goodies to go with it? Or go to your favourite restaurant? Or gather your friends together and watch the sunset on the beach? Or have a pillow fight at a sleepover with friends? Or even go on an adventure day? There are so many things you could do, but remember the simplest of gestures mean the most.

Don't have a date? It doesn't matter. You don't have to be loved up to enjoy Valentine's Day. In fact there are many people out there who are happy without a partner who will tell you that love doesn't only come from a partner- God has plenty of love for us too- plenty to spare and without an agenda.

The last homemade gift I will share applies to everyone (single, married or otherwise) as you can share the love of this gift with anyone. I love to bake heart shaped biscuits or cupcakes and give them to my friends. Thus then they feel extra appreciation for their friendship with you and you also put an extra special smile on their faces.

One recipe I have been inspired by is this one by Paul Hollywood (The Great British Bake Off). Why not try it or even better use it as a base to create a brand new biscuit?

So there you have it our top ideas for a homemade gift this valentine's day. Why not give them a try and let us know how you got on?

Oh and by the way if you're planning a proposal on Valentine's Day check out our next two blogs for some inspiration.

Until tomorrow!
