Hi everyone,

So we're now coming into spring and with that comes April showers and days where it's too hot or too cold. It's on those days where I bring out my quick bowls of food- simple yet scrumptious recipes that don't take ages to make and can be made in batches so you can freeze leftovers.

One of our signature recipes that is quick and scrumptious is our Chilli recipe. It can be made ahead or even be left in a slow cooker on a low heat for the day whilst you're working.

We also love cooking our Spicy Honey Chicken regularly too! You can find the recipe for that here:

Something I love to whip up both for comfort food but that doesn't take a lot of effort nor time is my Rustic French Toast. It is also a cost effective meal (for our students out there at university/college etc.)

I could also say the same about pancakes. This has sparked a bit of a debate over the years. Should you only have pancakes on pancake day or can they be enjoyed all year round? Personally I don't mind having them year round as they are quick and easy to whip up, can be made savoury or sweet, and don't cost a lot to make. My lovely husband used to eat pancakes a fair bit at university when he was watching the pennies (he studied away from home).

BBC Good Food have a simple recipe that's easy to follow for pancakes.

What are your go to recipes for quick, easy and yummy bowls of food?

Do you utilise your leftovers?

Any recipes you haven't tried that you'd like to?

Let us know,

In the meantime, enjoy these recipes,

Lily x
